Starting Friday, July 1, 2022, EDCO will commence residential and commercial service in Del Mar. As this date approaches, our entire team is preparing for a seamless service transition.
The City of Del Mar conducted an extensive competitive process to select the service provider best suited for the collection and disposal of trash, recycling, and organics at reasonable rates. Founded in 1967, family-owned and operated EDCO was chosen as the City’s new hauler because of a demonstrated commitment to providing superior customer service to numerous Southern California communities.
EDCO understands that questions may arise during this time of change and we are here to help.
Please do not hesitate to contact our office and speak with a customer service representative. EDCO will answer any questions you may have about this transition and will try to resolve any situations that arise. Remember, just contact EDCO and “We’ll Take Care of It!”

Virtual Informational Meetings, Farmers’ Market Booth and Pop-Up Booth:
EDCO will hold virtual informational meetings and set up a pop-up booth at the Farmers’ Market to share important information, highlight new services, and directly answer any questions residents may have. At these meetings, residents will also have a first-hand opportunity to check out EDCO’s new automated organics collection carts.
